Pizza – Deep Dish Alfredo Pizza 9/10

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

* 1/2 cup warm water (105 to 115 degrees) 120ml
* 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 30ml
* 1/2 (.25 ounce) envelope active dry yeast 4g
* 1 cup all-purpose flour 125g
*
* 1/2 cup heavy cream 120ml
* 1/4 cup butter 55g
* 1 tablespoon cream cheese 15g
* 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 40g
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1g
* 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese 85g

DIRECTIONS

1. In a bowl, mix the water, oil, and yeast. Stir in the flour. Roll into a ball, and transfer to a well-oiled bowl. Allow to rise 1 hour in a warm location, or until doubled in size.
2. Thoroughly grease a deep dish pizza pan. Punch down dough, and transfer to the pan. Cover dough with a cloth, and allow crust to rise 25 minutes, until puffy.
3. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
4. In a saucepan over low heat, mix the cream, butter, and cream cheese, stirring constantly, until melted and well-blended. Mix in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Continue to cook and stir 15 minutes, or until Parmesan is lightly browned. Spread over the pizza crust. Top with mozzarella cheese.
5. Bake 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until crust is lightly browned.

Conclusion
In terms of healthiness, this would have to rank quite low….but the taste was pretty good. Full of flavor really. I sliced some potatoes very thinly after rinsing them in water for 15 minutes to get rid of the starch, then just piled them on top of some capsicums drizzled with olive oil. Hmm, that was very good. The potato slices tasted kinda like potato chips really.
